01 / From curiosity to practice

Make sense.
Then make progress.

I’m Alkit—a scientist, AI consultant and mentor. I bring a researcher’s instinct to digital work: question assumptions, examine the evidence and find a useful next step. Together, we can turn a broad interest in AI into something concrete.

I / UNDERSTAND

AI fundamentals
& mentoring

Build a working understanding of artificial intelligence. Explore its possibilities, ask difficult questions and develop the confidence to use it thoughtfully.

II / EXPLORE

Use cases
& implementation

Connect AI to the tasks that matter to you. Explore where it could help, what an implementation would require and how to judge whether it is useful.

III / EXAMINE

Data analysis
& validation

Look closely at the evidence behind a decision. Bring scientific methods, computational analysis and attention to data quality to complex questions.

02 / The substance behind the style

From molecules
to meaning.

My background spans theoretical chemistry, computational materials research and experimental chemistry. I have modelled metal chalcogenides using DFT, G0W0 and the Bethe–Salpeter equation, and analysed complex IR and Raman spectra of hydroformylation intermediates.

At the German Environment Agency (Umweltbundesamt), within DEHSt, I work on science-based implementation of the TEHG, focusing on the steel industry. My responsibilities include assessing reports, methods and permit applications, validating data, testing specialist software and coordinating AI-related activities.

Alongside this role, I work as a freelance AI Mentor at Innolea Institut, focusing on AI fundamentals, use cases and implementation.

03 / A wider field of view

Curiosity travels.

Australia / James Cook University

Sunlight into chemistry.

Solar photochemistry with renewable feedstocks, GC reaction monitoring and 8–70 L reactors. Undergraduate practicals and pharmacy workshops brought the research into teaching.

Japan / Chitose Institute of Science and Technology

Learning from nature.

Biomimetic micro-ikebana structures, crystal growth and materials characterisation using SEM, high-resolution SEM and EDX, with applications in catalysis.

University of Malta

Ideas at the lab bench.

Chemistry laboratory projects, adapting experimental techniques and developing practical solutions. A hands-on foundation for asking what works—and why.

Recipient of the Chitose Potsdam Photonics Prize and the University of Potsdam E-Learning UP Award.
Co-spokesperson, JungChemikerForum Potsdam (2018–2020) · GDCh Carl Roth Award selection committee (2022–2023).

Teaching, mentoring & sharing knowledge

My teaching experience spans organic, physical, environmental and theoretical chemistry—including teacher training—and mathematics (2011–2022). Making difficult ideas understandable remains central to my work.

A broader practical toolkit

My wider offering includes career development coaching, educational consulting, change management, strategic planning, technical support, software testing, custom software development, file management and personal assistance. We can discuss which experience is relevant to your project.
